- Hi, I have a USR Courier V. Everything with 11/1/95 flash ROM
- and I've been having this really annoying problem with numerous CRC
- errors when I'm downloading or receiving any information. This
- happens a lot while I'm in Windows 95 or Linux. My 28.8 connect feels
- like a 21.6 connect with all the CRC errors slowing down the
- transfers. In DOS, there are no problems. The modem stays fast and
- error free. It also only seems to be a problem when receiving data.
- Sending data seems to be fast and error free but not receiving. Since
- it works great in DOS, I'm guessing my hardware isn't broken. It
- wasn't always like this. I do remember a time when Linux and Win 95
- would never hit an error and would consistently be fast, but that's
- not happening anymore. Can anyone help?
